The sport movement has been facing unprecedented challenges over the past decades. We can list among others, corruption, doping and match-fixing scandals, and the rise of intolerance, extremism and violence within or outside stadiums as major cause of concerns, which have considerably damaged the image of sport. Paradoxically, the sport business is constantly booming and some estimates suggest it has reached a value of over $500 billion today.

We believe there is an urgent need for a new approach to leadership and management. GLASS is gathering a community of world-class sport leaders with a holistic management approach, high ethical standard behavior and who are committed to use sport as instrument for peace, friendship and development; more importantly, it also wishes to use sport as a catalyst for the attainment of the  UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
